Semtech Electronics Limited, a subsidiary of Sino-Tech International(BVI) Limited which is listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, was founded in 1980s. Semtech Electronics Limited started from the trading of electronic components and subsequently proceeds to the establishment of a modernized discrete semiconductor manufacturing plant in 2003 with a current total production capacity of over 3 billion pieces per month.
In the early 1990s, when most people were thinking discrete semiconductors would be completely replaced by IC, Semtech Electronics Limited continued to develop its business in this direction, as well as established its own brand - "ST" for Diode and Transistor in the discrete electronic components market.
Historical Development:
Semtech Electronics Limited started its electronic business in 1980s as a distributor of well known semiconductor products.
Established its factory in Dongguan, PRC in 1989 for production of DIP glass series Diodes, and work with ITT Intermetall, Germany for production of transistors in a new factory in 1994.
Established a new research and development center and a modernized production plant with more than 140 acres in Dongguan in 2003. Started the production of SOD series Diodes.
Started the production of SOT-23 and SOT-323 series Diodes and Transistors, and SOT-89 series Transistors in 2005.
Started the production of TO-220, TO-251 and TO-252 series Diodes and Transistors in 2006.
Started the production of V-Chip Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor in 2007.
Started the production of RFID label in 2008.
Started the production of DO-213AA series Diodes in 2009.
Started the production of SOD-723、SOT-523、DO-213AB Diodes and Transistors in 2010.
